Chalkroom Terms of Service

Who we are

Chalkroom, including Chalkroom Board and Chalkroom LMS, is provided and sold by Ali Bin Mazhar Sultan, trading as Chalkroom ("we", "us"). On Google Play the developer name is Ninja_Developer. Contact: ninjadeveloper35@gmail.com. These terms apply when you use Chalkroom at chalkroom.pro, board.chalkroom.pro or in our apps, and when you buy a paid plan.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Chalkroom, including as a guest. Follow any higher minimum age or parental-permission requirements that apply where you live. Keep your account credentials private and share board links only with intended participants.

Your content and collaboration

You retain your rights in content you upload or create. You give us permission to store, process and display it as needed to provide the features you use, including sharing it with the participants you invite. Only upload content you have permission to use. Respect other participants and do not use Chalkroom for unlawful content, harassment, exploitation, infringement or attempts to compromise the service.

A shared board can be changed by people with edit access. The board owner manages its permissions and links. Export important work and review who has access. We may restrict accounts or content when necessary to address abuse, protect users or comply with law.

AI features

AI features are optional and may produce inaccurate or inappropriate results. Review their output before using it. Relevant content is sent to AI service providers when you request these features, as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not submit sensitive personal or confidential information to AI features.

Free and paid plans

Board Free includes 3 editable boards, 10 AI credits each month, an export footer and 7-day edit history. Paid plans (Board Pro, Board Team, LMS Teacher Pro and LMS Institute) add the limits and features described at https://chalkroom.pro/#pricing at the time you buy. AI credits reset each calendar month and unused credits do not carry over. If a plan ends, your account returns to Board Free; boards beyond the free limit become read-only rather than being deleted.

Payments and our reseller Paddle

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all card and online orders: Paddle sells the plan to you on our behalf, collects payment, calculates and charges any applicable sales tax or VAT, and issues your receipt. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries about payment and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms at https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms also apply to those purchases.

In Pakistan you may instead buy a 1-, 3- or 12-month pass in Pakistani rupees through Safepay, or pay an invoice by bank transfer. For those purchases we are the seller and Safepay or your bank processes the payment.

The mobile apps do not sell plans. Plans bought on the web unlock in every app where you sign in.

Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time with Manage billing in Settings at https://board.chalkroom.pro or the link in your Paddle receipt; you keep the paid plan until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again. Rupee passes do not renew. We will tell you in advance, by email or in the service, before a price change applies to your renewal.

Refunds

You can get a full refund within 14 days of a first payment or a renewal. See the Refund Policy at https://chalkroom.pro/refund-policy.html for how to ask and what happens to your plan.

Deletion and privacy

Personal accounts can be deleted in Settings or through the published account-deletion instructions. Deleting your account does not delete another owner's boards. Organisation-managed accounts must be handled by the organisation administrator. Deleting an account does not cancel a subscription bought through Paddle; cancel it first. The Privacy Policy explains information processing, sharing, retention and support requests.

Changes and liability

We may change the service or plan features, with relevant information shown in the service; changes to a paid plan you already bought apply from your next renewal. The service is provided subject to availability. We cannot promise uninterrupted access or that AI output will be correct. Nothing in these terms removes rights or protections that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
